Em dịch từ bản review để các bác lưu ý khi lựa chọn mua tivi để xem gia đình hoặc mua máy chiếu để làm 3D tại gia hoặc cafe 3D:
A /Nếu lựa chọn loại công nghệ chủ động, tức là dùng kính có pin:
1/ Chú ý hiện tượng nháy hình rất khó chịu (flicker), vì thế các bác nên tránh xa cái loại tần số đồng bộ 60Hz, loại 120Hz còn chấp nhận được.
The constant shuttering might bother some who are very sensitive to low refresh rates and cause flickering. This will be true of the lower end 120 Hz displays which only provide an effective refresh rate of 60 Hz. However, 3D display manufacturers have already announced many TV models with refresh rates of 240 Hz and even 480 Hz! These high refresh rates will easily get rid of any such complaint one might have of the 120 Hz displays
2/ Chú ý hiện tượng chất lượng hình ảnh rất kém khi pin kém.
Glasses are battery powered. This is one major drawback that is not particularly easy to alleviate. Due to the nature of the technology the glasses need to apply a potential to “shutter” the glasses. It also needs additional power to communicate and sync with the TV. Running low on batteries while watching a movie will surely be a very annoying experience. So if you are planning to buy one, be prepared for this. It shouldn’t be hard to deal with though.
3/ Chi phí kính đắt khi thêm kính hoặc kính hỏng
While the 3D displays using this technology will be inexpensive themselves, the glasses will be more expensive than their passive counterparts due to their complexity. This means that it might be a bit prohibitive to own many active shutter glasses for when you have friends come over to watch a 3D movie.
Vì thế hiện nay kể cả các hãng tivi cũng đang chuyển sang công nghệ thụ động nhằm tránh không bị các vấn đề vừa nêu trên. (loại tivi này em thấy đang có bán ở siêu thị Trần Anh chỗ đường láng hà nội, em o nhớ là samsung hay lg hay sony)

The major cause of eye strain during prolonged periods of staring at your PC’s screen is the flicker. To save our eyes from further damage, LG is unveiling new computer screens that has 3D and are certified free of that flicker. Coming from LG Cinema 3D monitor line, the D41P and D42P were awarded certification from TUV and Intertek, two of Europe’s top safety certification agencies for being flicker free

Additionally, there is a good chance that the glasses you kept from when you went to the theater will actually work for your passive polarized 3D display
5/ Chất lượng ổn định do o dùng đồng bộ điện tử (cái này chú ý vì nước ta là nóng ẩm mưa nhiều, vào mùa nồm thì đến cái tivi còn đôi khi bị vấn đề, đừng nói là cái kính @-)). Dòng này là em nghiệm ra thế các bác ạ.
