Đây đúng là phần mềm "chỉnh sửa ảnh", nhưng nó tập trung chủ yếu vào tạo ra bức ảnh có độ tương phản động rất rộng (High Dynamic Range). Nói tóm tắt là nó tạo ra một bức ảnh như ghép 2 bức chụp rất tối (để chỗ sáng quá vẫn thấy rõ) và bức chụp rất sáng (để chỗ tối quá vẫn thấy rõ) và thực tế người ta hay chụp 3 bức ngoài 2 bức rất sáng-rất tối còn 1 bức chụp bình thường và ghép lại (mặ dù nó vẫn tạo ra được từ 1 bức ảnh chụp bình thường, nhưng độ tương phản sẽ kém hơn)!
